A new way to remember those who have died
Rennie Grove Hospice Care has launched a new way for people to remember loved ones who have died.
Forever Loved Funds are an online tribute that give people the opportunity to bring together personal details, photos, videos, favourite music and memories on dedicated web pages to build a lasting and fitting tribute.
Gillian Barnett, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Rennie Grove, said: "A Forever Loved Fund is very flexible. You choose when to create it and also what you want to include.
"After you have set up a fund you can share it among family and friends to invite them to leave special messages. It can be a lasting way to ensure your loved one’s name lives on and provides a place for everyone to go to share their thoughts and memories. It can also be a wonderful legacy allowing future generations to get to know and be inspired by those no longer with us."
A Forever Loved Fund can also be used to raise money for Rennie Grove in memory of your loved one. This is particularly helpful for those who have decided to fundraise for the charity and want to keep a total of how much has been raised.
Gillian explains: "Many families find that raising money for Rennie Grove in memory of their loved one is a really positive way to honour them and it can really help some people to come to terms with their loss. Some start fundraising by asking for donations instead of funeral flowers and various family members might then go on to take part in sponsored events. Having one central place to bring together all of these fundraising efforts is a fantastic way to record and show everything that has been done in memory and it often inspires further fundraising. Not only is it rewarding to see the total rise, but it is also comforting to know that the money raised will help other patients and families cope with life-limiting illness."
It only takes a few minutes to set up a Forever Loved Fund. It is free to do and can remain online for as long as you wish. Get started now: simply follow the straightforward instructions online or call the Forever Loved team on 01442 890222.
