Afternoon tea raises £1,200 for Rennie Grove Hospice Care

Care for a CuppaThe Care for a Cuppa 'Afternoon Tea' in Beaconsfield has raised £1,207 for Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, part of Rennie Grove Hospice Care.

Around 60 diners enjoyed a tea of finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and a glass of bubbly at The Cape Grand Cafe and Restaurant in Station Road on Tuesday 14 April.

The event also included a raffle that was drawn by television presenter Gabby Logan.

Organiser Christine Mallan said: “Many, many thanks to Mark and Jo Seeby for hosting and donating all proceeds to Rennie Grove and special thanks to all the staff for making this a truly 'delicious' event. We would also like to thank everyone who attended and Gabby Logan for kindly drawing the raffle.”

Raffle prizes were donated by Lloyds Pharmacy, Sweaty Betty, Lavender & Stone, House of Klamer, Secret Garden Florists, Sitalia and Brew Tea Co.
