Staff at Marks and Spencer in Tring used peddle power to help raise more than £500 for Rennie Grove Hospice Care on Friday (April 24).
Marks and Spencer in Dolphin Square, Tring, which has chosen Rennie Grove as its charity of the year, encouraged staff to sign up for 15 minute slots starting from 8am until 5pm. The aim was to cycle the equivalent distance from Tring to Brighton. By the end of the day they had also made it halfway back again!
Craig Allen, a manager at the store, said: “We would like to thank our customers for their generous donations and support on the day. It was really good fun and we are really pleased to have raised so much money.”
Adam Bell from gym On The Limit also took part in the challenge and helped encourage people taking part. The gym also supplied the bike used on the day.
The store hopes to raise £5,000 for the charity this year.
