Aldbury fair helps charity raise £250

hook a duck game at Aldbury May FairThe Rennie Grove stall at Aldbury May Fair helped raise nearly £250 for the Tring based charity.

A team of volunteers manned the stall at the fair, held on Bank Holiday Monday, where revellers were given the chance to hook a duck and buy raffle tickets for the charity’s summer raffle.

Rennie Grove, which cares for people in the local community with cancer and other life limiting illness, is still looking for new community volunteers who can help at further events this summer.

Volunteering in a team of three, and able to commit to at least a whole morning or afternoon, Summer Fetes and Fairs Volunteers will transport and set up equipment. They will then man the Rennie Grove stall and talk to the public about the charity and fundraising events, sell raffle tickets and encourage children to participate in the “hook a duck” game.

If you are warm and friendly with an ability to engage in a positive way with people of all ages and backgrounds then we would love you to join the Rennie Grove team.
