An exhibition is being held in Amersham to help to raise funds for Rennie Grove Hospice Care and the Holy Trinity Church Restoration project in Prestwood.
As well as art being available to buy, with artists and the gallery contributing to the charities from exhibition sales, there will also be a number of activities for art lovers to enjoy at The Hawker Gallery in Old Amersham who are hosting the exhibition from 13-27 June.
The grand opening takes place on Saturday 13 June from 10am to 5pm where people will be able to enjoy live music in the courtyard and be amongst the first to view the exhibition. The formal opening, by Countess Howe Patron of Rennie Grove Hospice Care, will be at 11am. Regular gallery artist, Roger Jones, will be painting live in the High Street to help raise awareness about the event.
On Thursday 18 June there will be a Brian Bennett Master Class where he will be demonstrating painting in oils with a knife from 6.30pm for 7pm start. There will be a limited number of tickets available at £20 each which are available from gallery.
Popular contemporary artist Gordon King is offering a lucky winner the chance to have their portrait painted in the gallery on Saturday 27 June at 10.30am. Raffle tickets are available for this fantastic prize at the cost of £15 each. The raffle will be drawn at the gallery on Saturday 20 June
An evening with TV presenter and antiques expert John Benjamin will be held on Friday 26 June from 7.30pm with canapés, wine and a talk. Tickets are £15 each available from Hawker Gallery, limited numbers available.
Weatherman Bill Giles OBE will host an evening on Wednesday 8 July from 7.30pm for 8pm where he will share a humorous look at the weather. Tickets are £15 each available from Hawker Gallery, limited numbers available.
During the exhibition there will be a raffle where lots of fantastic prizes are available. Tickets are £2 each and can be purchased from the Iain Rennie charity shops in Little Chalfont, Chalfont St Giles, Beaconsfield, Flackwell Heath and Holmer Green.
There will also be a silent auction with lots including two return Monarch flights, Midweek two night stay at Careys Manor and SenSpa in the New Forest and a Four Ball at Ashridge Golf club. For a full list or to place a bid contact Michael Hawker at the gallery.
