Colourful Charity Challenge Returns!

Rennie Grove Hospice Care’s most vibrant event to date explodes onto the stunningColour Blast The Scramble Penn House Estate near Amersham on Sunday 24 September.  With the choice of a 1k or 5k route, Colour Blast: The Scramble is the perfect activity for the entire family.

After an energetic warm up, the family friendly 1k is open to all ages and runners will set off into a cloud of brightly coloured powder paint with participants coming up against fun-sized obstacles designed for both children and adults to enjoy.

If you prefer a bigger challenge, there is a full 5k open to over 12s only, featuring adult sized obstacles and plenty of coloured powder.  Both are guaranteed to have you wearing a coat of many colours when you pick up your medal at the finish line!  All participants will receive a t-shirt and a pair of funky sunglasses that MUST be worn to protect your eyes from the coloured powder.

Gillian Barnett, Director of Fundraising & Marketing at Rennie Grove Hospice Care, explains: “This was such a fantastic event last year, with over 500 people coming together to be blasted with colour, that we just had to bring it back this year.  We have also added some mini obstacles into the 1k for an extra fun element.  I did it with my kids last year and they had an amazing time.  It’s a great way to raise funds for a local charity as well as spending time together as a family.  We are also immensely grateful to Origin Global who have agreed to be our headline sponsor for this event!”

Rennie Grove provides 24/7 responsive hospice at home care to local patients with cancer and other life-limiting illness and other services to support patients and their families.  All proceeds from Colour Blast: The Scramble will go towards funding these services, which are offered at no cost to patients or their families.

Online registration is now open. Choose between the 1k colourful fun run with mini obstacles for just £10, or challenge yourself to the ultimate 5k obstacle course for £25.
