Caring gifts for Christmas

Christmas is a time for giving and sharing with loved ones. Rennie Grove Hospice Care has special gifts available that are perfect for when you want to show how much you care and give a gift that makes a difference.

You can make a Gift of Care donation towards a selection of Rennie Grove nursing and support services. In return you will receive a Caring Gift voucher and a thank you card, which you can personalise and send to the recipient of your choice, letting them know that you purchased the gift on their behalf to help fund Rennie Grove care for local patients with cancer and life-limiting conditions and their families.

Vouchers are available as Gifts of Protection, Comfort, Diagnosis, Support, Detection,Geoffrey Palmer Compassion, Power and Time. Their values range from as little as £5 to £150 each - with others in between, such as a £10 donation that would buy two boxes of needles for a syringe pump to help with pain relief during a patient’s final days or a £30 donation that would buy an ear thermometer and a supply of disposable caps to help detect when a patient is at risk of developing a dangerous infection, for example.

Well-known TV and film actor, Geoffrey Palmer OBE, who is a patron and long standing supporter of Rennie Grove Hospice Care, recommends Caring Gift Vouchers.

“Rennie Grove Caring Gift Vouchers are just the thing for those times when you want to give someone a meaningful present but you don’t want to give them something that they don’t really need,” he said: “Every Christmas I buy Rennie Grove Caring Gift Vouchers for my family and friends, because it feels like I’m giving them something really worthwhile.”
