Make Your Will Month February 2018

Throughout the month of February the following local solicitors and legal experts will be waiving their standard Will-writing fees in lieu of a donation made to support the work of Rennie Grove.

You can find a full list of participating solicitors at the bottom of this page.  If you have any questions about the scheme or would like some further information about the solicitors, or the process, please call 01442 890222 or contact us by email at
legacy@ renniegrove.org.

How does Make Your Will Month work?

If you haven’t yet made a Will to provide for your family in the future, you might like to consider taking advantage of Make Your Will Month. Local legal experts team up with Rennie Grove Hospice Care to offer a Will writing service that enables you to save on usual fees while making a significant contribution to Rennie Grove.

As your life changes it's important to keep your Will up-to-date to ensure your estate is distributed according to your wishes. If you're buying a house, having children, becoming grandparents or retiring, if you don't have a valid Will, you could leave loved ones in uncertain or complicated circumstances.

While you're in no way obliged to leave a gift in your Will to Rennie Grove, many people also take the opportunity to leave a gift in their Will to us to help fund the future of our care for local patients diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illness. Leaving a legacy gift can ensure our specialist care is there for patients and their families from diagnosis, throughout their illness and after bereavement, long into the future.

How much should I donate?

The cost of a Will can vary depending on how complex your affairs are. We ask that you consider making a minimum donation of £99 for a standard single Will or £195 for a pair of standard matching Wills.

The solicitors taking part in our Make Your Will Month scheme are kindly offering their services free of charge for drawing up a Standard Will. If your affairs are complex, such as involving trusts or overseas properties there will be additional costs involved aside from the standard Will fee waiver which will be discussed at your initial appointment.  If your Will is not 'standard' any additional fees will be agreed with you before going ahead.

How do I take part?

Simply book an appointment with the participating solicitor of your choice during February and quote ‘Make Your Will Month Rennie Grove’ when making the appointment.
