If you have been diagnosed with cancer or another life-limiting illness, or are just concerned about it, you or your carer or family member might need some more information and support.
Our Information & Support Centre offers you a friendly, confidential environment where there is time for you to ask questions, share your concerns and obtain up-to-date information.
Who can come?
The Information & Support Centre is open to all – no appointment is needed.
What will happen when I get there?
Our staff and trained volunteers will help you to find the most relevant information for you. This may include details about:
- Cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, their treatments and side-effects
- Managing the impact of cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and practical issues
- Advice about benefits
- Support groups
- Local services
You can also find out about how Rennie Grove Hospice Care is able to support you and your family throughout your illness.
When is the Information & Support Centre open?
The Information & Support Centre is open from Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm.
Where is the Information & Support Centre?
It is at Grove House, which is located next to St Albans City Hospital. There is a limited amount of free parking available in a barriered private car park at the rear of Grove House which is allocated on a first come, first served basis.
What does it cost?
Like all Rennie Grove services, the Information & Support Centre is provided at no cost to its users. As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of the local community to fund around 85% of our annual running costs, allowing us to care for thousands of patients and families every year.
