How we use your information

Anonymous data

When someone visits this website we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting this website. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source.

Use of cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

We use Google Analytics to help evaluate and develop our website. This free software records visitors to our website, but doesn’t store any personal details.

We also use “Session Cookies” on the pages that allow you to register for an event, complete a purchase from our online shop or make a donation. In order to track these transactions, we need to temporarily place a tracking number, known as a Session Cookie, on your computer in the same way as most online shopping and banking websites operate. This number is stored temporarily in your computer's memory but is not written to your hard drive. It will automatically be destroyed when your browser is closed after your transaction is complete.

To allow this tracking to happen, your privacy settings need to permit first party cookies. If your browser privacy settings block cookies, you will not be able to use these parts of our website.

By browsing our site, you are accepting our use of cookies and consent to this cookie policy.

To find out more about cookies visit www.aboutcookies.org. If you wish to change your cookie settings, the 'How to Control Cookies' link in the left hand menu on the AboutCookies home page tells you how to do this.

The personal information you provide is collected by the website and stored on our secure database.  We use this information to provide you with the services, products or information that you have requested, to communicate with you or for administration purposes.  In order to do this, we may need to pass your information to other service providers, eg mailing companies for our newsletter or data services agents to clean our data.  Where we use service providers we will make sure there are appropriate controls in place, and they must always sign a confidentiality agreement ensuring that your data is kept securely and only used for the purpose of fulfilling the Rennie Grove Hospice Care project for which they have been appointed.
