Groups and clubs of all kinds, including pubs, restaurants, sports clubs, WI groups, Lions, Rotary, Round Table, Masons, Scouts, Guides and many others operate in the heart of local communities and are a really important source of support to us as a local charity. Here’s how your group or club could help us to raise money to support patients and families in the local community coping with a diagnosis of life-limiting illness:
Charity of the Year
Selecting a Charity of the Year gives everyone involved a chance to really understand the cause and see the difference you’re making. It’s a great way to boost morale, promote team work and raise your profile because everyone wants to know how you’re getting on. Our volunteer Ambassadors will happily provide a talk to help your group decide on who they wish to support. We can also provide marketing support for your fundraising efforts, as well as publicity online and in the local press.
Fundraise for us
Be creative and think of a way that your group or club could hold an exciting and successful fundraising event to raise money for us. Alternatively, we have a variety of our own events on offer and we would love you to get a team together to take part in one of our challenges.
Our volunteer Ambassadors raise public awareness of our work by speaking to groups, clubs, schools, companies and other local organisations. Confident public speakers with an in-depth knowledge of the charity, our Ambassadors are very happy to attend meetings or present speeches to groups of any size, whether it's a local organisation such as WI, Rotary Club, Round Table or U3A, employees at a company, a school, or just a group of friends.
If you have a diary slot to fill and think your group members would like to hear about this service in the heart of your community - or if you are considering a Charity of the Year relationship - then our Ambassadors can provide an introductory talk to help you make an informed decision.
Sign up for a Collection Box
Show your community spirit by having a collection box at your events and watch the pennies add up. When your box is full, we can come and collect it, count it up, and we'll let you know how much money you've raised.
If you're able to support us with a donation from a one-off fundraising activity, this would be much-appreciated
We’d love to hear from you and talk to you further about how your group or club could get involved. Please get in touch with the Community Fundraising Team using the contact details below.
