Rennie Grove Hospice Care's The Chilterns Cycle Challenge is our annual sponsored cycle ride where you will take on a thrilling 35 mile or a mammoth 75 mile route. Both routes to start and finish in Aylesbury town centre, taking you through the scenic beauty of the Chiltern Hills.
2017's Chilterns Cycle Challenge saw over 400 people turn up to Kingsbury Square in Aylesbury on Sunday 19 March to tackle either a 35 or 75 mile route through the hills. Read all about the day in our story here.
In 2016, five hundred cyclists cruised across the Chilterns, altogether raising over £28,000 in sponsorship. It is hoped that the 2017 challenge will raise even more to help care for the increasing number of local people with cancer or other life-limiting illness who need Rennie Grove’s services.
Any sponsorship you raise will help fund the care that Rennie Grove provides for local patients facing life-limiting illnesses and their families. By taking part in this major event, you could ask friends, family and colleagues to contribute to a JustGiving page. Set a target, send the link, let people know how big the cycle is you're doing (both 35 and 75 mile routes are a huge achievement!) and what the cause is, and see how much you can get!
Did you know, our services are offered at no cost to the patient or family?
Our NHS funding is less that half the average given to UK hospices and so we rely on public support. This is why your sponsorship means so much to us. A JustGiving page will help you keep track of how much you have raised and make it easier to share across social media and email. So get sharing! Click here for tips on how to get the most out of it.
