The Chilterns Cycle Challenge returns to Bucks in March 2017

It’s almost that time of year to throw on your cycling gear, breathe in that fresh spring air and join Rennie Grove Hospice Care for The Chilterns Cycle Challenge. Our annual sponsored cycle ride invites you to take on a thrilling 35 mile or a mammoth 75 mile route. Both routes to start and finish in Aylesbury town centre, taking you through the scenic beauty of the Chiltern Hills.

The event

Last year, five hundred cyclists cruised across the Chilterns, altogether raising over £28,000 in sponsorship. It is hoped that the 2017 challenge will raise even more to help care for the increasing number of local people with cancer or other life-limiting illness who need Rennie Grove’s services.

Gillian Barnett, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Rennie Grove Hospice Care said: “The Chilterns Cycle Challenge is a well-loved event. Much of its popularity is down to the fact that there’s a choice of two fantastic routes, so there’s something to suit any level of experience.”

Are you up to the Challenge? Whether you’re the kind of person who craves the test of beating your personal best, or you’re someone who prefers a leisurely ride, sign up online to take part in either cycle.

How you can support Rennie Grove Hospice Care

At Rennie Grove, we rely on the generosity of the general public to fund around 85% of our £6.7 million annual costs, and the money we raise from fundraising events like the Chilterns Cycle Challenge is hugely important in helping us reach this target.
