This event has now taken place in 2017.
The Diogenes Sun Club put on a skinny dip charity event this summer, daring people to bare for Rennie Grove Hospice Care! The event was part of The Great British Skinny Dip Week.It was hosted at an outdoor pool which is set among six acres of beautiful and secluded grounds.
Local resident Susan took the challenge last year, so we took a moment to find out what it was like to bare everything for charity: "The whole day was fantastic. With the sun shining and the outdoor pool looking incredibly inviting all we had to do was take our clothes off! The encouragement, friendliness and support of the members of the club and my fellow skinny dippers was just what was needed and we did it brilliantly. I am really glad I took part and would encourage people to take themselves out of their comfort zone and have a go. I set myself a fundraising target and smashed it twice! It was worth every naked minute and I would do it again in a heartbeat so that the nurses can continue to care for patients and their families."
So if you're aged 18 or over why not embrace your body, no matter its shape or size, and accept the natural beauty that it is whilst raising money for our charity at the same time!
Your Sponsorship Money
Your sponsorship money helps us continue to provide end-of-life care to local patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their families. As little as £50 could fund the cost of a first assessment visit to a hospice at home patient to understand their needs and wishes and draw up a personal care plan.
Please consider raising sponsorship to support our services. If you raise money via JustGiving, this will come directly to us, so you don't need to take any further action.
