The Mayor's City Sprint Triathlon takes place at Westminster Lodge, Holywell Hill, St Albans, AL1 2DL.

There will be limited parking available at Westminster Lodge so we advise that you kindly park in the surrounding public car parks. Click here to see all the local car parks available.

Three disciplines

Take part in the 5km cycle (on indoor stationary cycling machines), 200m swim (8 lengths), and 3km offGroup shot of cyclists at the Mayor's Triathlon 2014 road run.

If you don't fancy taking on all three disciplines yourself, a relay option is available so you can share the load in a team of up to three.

Entrants must be 12 years or over and all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

Entry fees

Prices are as follows:
Individual entry fee (over 16s) - £20
Group entry fee - £30
12 -16 years entry fee - £10

Your entry fee covers the cost of putting on the event and includes a t-shirt and a certificate once you have finished, full route signage and marshalling.

Raising sponsorship money

Your entry fee covers the costs of putting on the event only. It is your sponsorship money that makes a difference to local patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses and their families, and we encourage you to raise as much as you can.

There is no minimum sponsorship for this event, but it would be great if everyone that participates could try to raise at least £50 each. This could fund two hours of specialist nursing care in a patient’s home helping to keep patients at home surrounded by their families.

Top tips for raising sponsorship

  • Start early!
  • Set up an online JustGiving page and personalise it with a photo and bio.
  • Post the link to your page on social media channels and in your email signature.
  • Please download a sponsorship form and carry it with you whenever you can.
  • Ask your closest friends and family to sponsor you first - they're likely to be the most generous and it sets a standard for others to follow.
  • Ask your employer about matched funding.
  • Ensure sponsors read the Gift Aid statement and tick the box if they are eligible to do so.
  • Do something creative - raising sponsorship doesn't have to be boring! Whether it's a cake sale or car wash, quiz night or coffee morning, get your thinking cap and do something a bit different.
