Moneyhill charity shop calls on locals to help raise money

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is appealing for local people to volunteer at our newest charity shop on Moneyhill Parade, Rickmansworth.

Our new community superstore, stocking a range of men’s, women’s, children’s and homewares is the biggest of our shops and needs around 40 volunteers to keep it open and trading seven days per week.

Deborah Gould, Director of Retail & Trading at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, explains:

“We’re delighted to have opened this new community superstore branch in Rickmansworth. It’s a new concept for us and we’re really excited to be bringing this new proposition to the parade.

Our shops simply couldn’t operate without the dedicated volunteers who give up their time to sort through donations, stock the rails and work directly with customers. In such a big unit we need more volunteers than ever and we’re appealing to the people of Rickmansworth to volunteer their time to help make the shop a huge success for the local community.

We’ve currently opened with reduced operating hours and we’ll only be able to increase them when we recruit new volunteers. I’d encourage anybody in the area who has a few hours to spare, to get in touch about the varied and exciting volunteer roles available in this branch.”

Asif Khan has just joined Rennie Grove Peace to work as the shop manager of the Moneyhill Parade branch. Asif said:

“It’s an exciting time to be joining the charity and I can’t wait to get started in the shop. It is a huge store with so much potential and is a real asset to the local community.

“I’ve previously worked in retail but not in charity retail so I’m honoured to be managing a shop that is raising funds for a charity providing vital hospice care in our local area. I’m looking forward to building a team of dedicated volunteers who can pull together to get this shop off to a flying start and make it a real asset to our local community.”
