Help raise funds with a round of golf

Mike Hodge Golf DayGolf is the game of choice for many fundraisers at the moment. Golf days in Herts tee off this spring with the Mayor of St Albans’ Charity Golf Day on Tuesday 19 April at Verulam Golf Club. An addition to the usual mayoral calendar of fundraising events, this 18-hole challenge is being hosted by Cllr Salih Guygusuz to raise further funds for his chosen charities, Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Keech Hospice. Teams of four can enjoy coffee and bacon rolls served at 8:30am before teeing off and a late lunch at 4:30pm.  Call the Mayor's Office on 01727 819544 to book your place.

London Colney estate agents Oliver & Akers are also inviting entries to their charity golf day in aid of Rennie Grove on Friday 13 May.  Call their office on 01727 580085 for more details.

On Thursday 19 May, long-standing supporter Mike Hodge will host his annual golf day at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club in Harpenden.  Over the years, Mike has raised more than £100,000 from this initiative alone – enough to fund a Rennie Grove nurse for more than three years.  If you’d like to book a team of four into this popular event, call Mike on 01582 760244.  Aldwickbury Park has adopted Rennie Grove as its Charity of the Year and as part of its fundraising is even catering for those who prefer to follow the game from the comfort of their own sofa with its Fantasy Golf League!

Rennie Grove is also hosting its own golf day at Brocket Hall Golf Club on Monday 11 July. Find out more here or contact golf@renniegrove.org for further details.
