Can you conjure up a good story?

We are looking for comprising published authors and aspiring writers, for our annual writingGetting into the spirit for creative writing competition.  Every year, the Rhyme & Reason group puts together an anthology of the best prose and poetry entries to this competition in the form of an A5 desk diary, which it sells to raise funds for Rennie Grove.  This year the theme is magic and mystery and the group is inviting 400-word prose entries plus poems of no more than 20 lines in length.  There are separate categories for children and adults, so if you’re a budding J K Rowling or J R Tolkein then why not put pen to paper for a chance to be published whilst supporting a crucial service in your local community?

The desk diaries will be on sale at renniegrove.org for £5 from October and over the past 25 years, have helped to raise £55,000 for Rennie Grove.

Further information and an entry form can be found at: www.renniegrove.org/RhymeandReason and entries should be emailed to wallisjill@hotmail.com by Wednesday June 1.
