Running events: something for everyone

This summer Rennie Grove Hospice Care has running events to cater for all comers. Herts 10k finish line

The popular annual Tring Midsummer Fun Run returns on Wednesday 22 June with races for all primary school age groups as well as mums and dads.  Organised by Tring Running Club, the event raises crucial funds for several local charities, including Rennie Grove.  Call 01442 820732 to register.

Tring Running Club has also taken over the organisation of the Ashridge Trail Half Marathon, donating all profits from the event to Rennie Grove.  On 16 July, join hundreds of other runners in this tough but beautifully scenic off-road trail run around the stunning Ashridge Estate.  Sign up at www.renniegrove.org/ashridgetrail

On Sunday 10 July the Hemel 10K and Superhero Fun Run returns for a second year.  Take on the challenging multi-terrain route over 10K or slip into your superhero costume of choice to take part in the 1.5K family fun run.  Chip timing for the 10K makes it an ideal opportunity to beat your PB, whilst cheerful route marshals and a family-friendly atmosphere make it the perfect choice for first-timers too.  Register now at www.renniegrove.org/hemel10k

If you need more time to prepare for your first-ever 10K – or you simply want another chance to smash that PB – then why not sign up to Rennie Grove’s flagship fundraiser: the HERTS 10K?  A well-established event in the local community, attracting thousands of veteran, novice and repeat runners over the past decade, this event has raised more than £1 million for Rennie Grove.  Be a part of something big and sign up today at www.herts10k.com

If running is really not your thing, Rennie Grove has a whole host of other events and additional ways to support the charity’s work.  Find out more at www.renniegrove.org
