Rennie Grove Hospice Care has launched a brand new, colourful fundraiser. Taking place on Sunday 25 September 2016, Colour Blast: The Scramble promises to be an exciting, challenging and vibrant event. Last year’s Colour Blast is making a triumphant return, and bringing with it a new and exhilarating addition. Obstacles.
As well as being blasted with brightly coloured powder at various stations along the 5km route, participants will be faced with climbing frames, tunnels, monkey bars and camo nets to really get them stuck into the race. In total there will be over 20 obstacle challenges placed along the route in the grounds of the beautiful Penn House Estate near Amersham. Rennie Grove’s Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Gillian Barnett says; “The fact that we’ve added obstacles to last year’s successful colour blast event, gives people a more exciting challenge and even opens it up for more teams to take part. It’s perfect for an office team building day or just a group of friends looking for something different to do on a weekend!”
The ‘Scramble’ element to the Colour Blast can be entered by over 12s, in teams or individually. Gillian continues, “The registration form allows for up to 9 additional people to be entered in a team however, if anyone wants to enter teams larger than 10 they are more than welcome to. They just need to contact us so we can help with the registration”.
In addition to the 5km obstacle course, there is the option of a 1km colour blast run for anyone who would rather give the obstacles a miss. This is open to under 12s, and will still guarantee a colourful outcome to all who take part.
