The schools have returned and the kids are settling into their new school year, the six week summer holidays already a distant memory. The excitement of a new teacher and classmates has died down and the humdrum daily grind of packed lunches and homework has well and truly set back in. Time to shake up the routine and add some adventure to the mix. Exploding onto the Penn Estate, Buckinghamshire on Sunday 25 September, is Rennie Grove Hospice Care’s most extravagant challenge yet.
Colour Blast: The Scramble is the perfect day out for the whole family and is guaranteed to blast away the holiday blues! Take on an adrenaline-fuelled scramble of over 20 obstacles, facing the likes of climbing walls, crawling tunnels and monkey bars whilst being splattered with vibrant coloured powder along the 5km route. For those under 12, there is an exciting 1km colour run where you’ll be positively glowing various colours by the time you reach the finish line. The best part about the coloured powder is that it is non-toxic and safe to use, so even the most sensitive skin can take part – you just might need to put a few extra bubbles in the bath that night!
Rennie Grove Hospice Care receives just 16% of its funding from the NHS. In order to keep providing 24/7 responsive end-of-life care to patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, the charity needs people like you to take on challenges and help raise money through sponsorship. You can also purchase a cool pair of sunglasses if you sign up to Colour Blast: The Scramble. What are you waiting for? Sign up today at: www.renniegrove.org/colourblast
