Rennie Grove Hospice Care is delighted to have been voted the main beneficiary for the 2017 St Albans Half Marathon on Sunday June 11. Head of Fundraising in Herts, Kate Grigg, said: “We are so grateful to the huge number of people that took action and voted for us. The winning margin was very small so we feel really fortunate to have landed this fantastic fundraiser for 2017.
Rennie Grove received 1,264 votes, mainly from people based in Herts, but also from some supporters as far away as Qatar and Australia.
“We’re aiming to raise £10,000 through this event for our 24/7 responsive hospice at home care and range of day services at Grove House,” explained Kate.
The charity has 50 dedicated places for Rennie Grove runners. “We’d love as many people as possible to sign up and join the ‘Rennie Grove Team’ to help us reach our fundraising goal,” Kate added.
Join the popular run in its 36th year and help local families affected by life-limiting illness. There are options open to all ages and fitness levels, so if you don’t fancy the half marathon, then why not try the half marathon walk, 5K or 1.5 mile fun run?
