Thanks to generous residents and shoppers, Rennie Grove Hospice Care’s festive fundraising in and around Tring has been a big success.
Children from Dundale School regaled shoppers at Tring Tesco on Friday 16 December with a beautiful chorus of carols. Proud parents looked on as the 22 children, all aged seven to 11, performed their portfolio of festive songs with great aplomb, accompanied by teacher Kate McKenna on the keyboard, with super soloist Emily giving a heart-warming rendition of ‘All I want for Christmas’. Shoppers donated generously, raising £185 for Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
The Santa float raised £5,000 with its fortnight-long tour of Tring and surrounding areas during December. In the town centre, the charity’s pop-up shop brought in almost £300 in just two days of trading at No.10 Akeman Street.
Local people hopped on the train to Marylebone on Thursday 15 December to entertain commuters with Christmas carols, raising an amazing £2,200.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered or donated. Your support helps Rennie Grove reach families in need at Christmas time.
