There are still some charity places remaining in this popular annual event on Sunday June 11. As the local cause chosen to benefit this year, Rennie Grove Hospice Care has been allocated places exclusively for runners wanting to fundraise for local families affected by cancer and other life-limiting illness.
“We’re aiming to raise £10,000 through this event for our 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care and range of Day Services at Grove House,” explained Kate Grigg, Head of Fundraising for Rennie Grove in Herts.
“If you’ve been tempted by the warmer weather to dust off your trainers and get running, why not sign up to give yourself an added incentive to keep training?” she added.
With options to suit a range of fitness levels, this event is perfect for first-timers or past masters aiming for a personal best. If you don’t feel ready to run a half marathon, then take on the half marathon walk; if you want something shorter, try the 5K run or get the family together for the 1.5 mile fun run round Verulamium Park.
