Rennie Grove Hospice Care is delighted to bring a brand new event to its fundraising calendar for 2017. Thanks to long-standing supporter, The Right Hon. The Countess Howe, the charity is hosting a spectacular Musical Masquerade Gala Dinner in an opulent marquee in the beautiful setting of Penn House near Amersham.
Taking place on Saturday 20 May from 7pm, the dazzling evening begins with a champagne reception giving the chance for guests to mingle before taking their seats for an elegant and mouth-watering three-course dinner. The evening’s entertainment will feature a fabulous and eclectic mix of songs from professional opera, musical theatre and the semi-classical genre with sprinklings of contemporary and jazz music.
There will also be an opportunity to bid in an exciting auction with top quality lots on offer and to buy tickets for a high-class raffle. With guests dressed in black tie, beautiful dresses and optional masks or feathers, the evening promises a West End experience with a hint of Venetian mystery right on your doorstep!
Thrilling musical performances from a quartet of musicians with impressive solo singing careers spanning opera, musical theatre, concerts and recording will be the highlight of the event. Mandy Watsham Dunstall, who brings both musical and operatic experience from the West End, will be joined by Maria Kesselman, whose singing career also includes West End musicals and radio appearances, to guarantee a powerful female vocal. Complementing the ladies will be, Ben Thapa, the low tenor in the group G4, and Lincoln Stone, a principal opera tenor will ensure that a truly stunning sound will fill the marquee.
All funds raised will go towards Rennie Grove’s unique service providing 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care for local people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The charity’s specialist nurses support the whole family, giving patients the choice to be cared for at home and to spend their final days there if that is their wish, surrounded by the people and things they love.
Support hospice care in the heart of your community and take advantage of the early bird discount to secure your table of 10 for £850 before 31 March. From 1 April onwards tickets cost £95 each with tables of 10 available at £950.
