A new face in our retail team

Debbi Fair has recently joined us as Area Manager in the retail and trading department.

Debbi has worked in the Charity Sector for many years. Prior to joining Rennie GroveDebbi Cropped she spent three years in the retail department at Oxfam and before that, she was Head of Operations for the Royal Voluntary Service.

Debbi says; “Retail shops are a vital marketing tool for charities as they represent and raise the profile of the organisation and invite the local community to engage and become a part of it. They are also a huge part of generating vital funds to ensure the charity is able to continue delivering their service.”

During 2016-17, Rennie Grove’s 24 shops raised £2.6 million to help fund the services for local people with cancer or other life-limiting illness.

Debbi continues; “I wasn’t really looking for a new job but I stumbled across an advertisement for Area Manager of Retail and Trading at Rennie Grove and decided to research them. I was so impressed with the work that they did in the local community that I wanted to be part of it. I’m hoping to share my skillset and knowledge with the rest of the team here and eventually build up the retail and trading department to be on par with larger, national charities.”

We wish Debbi the very best in her new role.
