Make a donation to the Rennie Grove Hospice Care Big Give Christmas Challenge during the one week Big Give window and your donation will be doubled!
From 12 noon on Tuesday November 28 until 12 noon on Tuesday December 5, all donations made to Rennie Grove’s ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ campaign on www.thebiggive.org.uk will be matched by the generous support of champions and The Hospital Saturday Fund
Rennie Grove will be using the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign to help fund one of its specialist Hospice at Home nursing teams over the Christmas period. The type of care the nurses provide means that patients can remain at home with their families and reduce unnecessary hospital admission.
We hope to raise £8,000 from generous donations from local residents and businesses during the four-day challenge, which will then be doubled up to total £16,000.
Last year support from local people helped Rennie Grove to raise an incredible £13,811 in just four days. This was used to fund several months of bereavement support sessions for children and adults, helping them to cope with the loss of their loved ones.
Gillian Barnett, Director of Fundraising at Rennie Grove said: “Rennie Grove’s nurses care for both children and adults over the 12 days of Christmas – and throughout the whole year. Being at home with family feels even more important at Christmas as it is such a big family occasion. Our nurses are there to help make this happen by managing patients’ symptoms and providing families and carers with reassurance that our responsive service is there 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
“We really hope that local people will dig deep to help us provide vital this care for local families this Christmas.”
