The Pulis family from Woodhall Farm is continuing its now annual tradition of raising much needed funds for local charity for Rennie Grove Hospice Care through their fantastic festive light display. Michelle Pulis and her family raised an incredible £800 on their opening night thanks to the generosity of visitors to who bought raffle and tombola tickets and made donations.
The stunning spectacle illuminates the streets of Woodhall Farm until twelfth night, and Michelle asks passers-by to drop a donation in the honesty box outside. Director of Fundraising & Marketing for Rennie Grove, Gillian Barnett, said: “Michelle’s amazing Christmas lights are a great way to raise awareness of our service as well as crucial funds.”
Rennie Grove relies on public support to fund 87% of the money it needs each year to provide its 24/7 responsive hospice at home care and range of day services at Grove House, St Albans to thousands of local adults and children affected by cancer and other life-limiting illness.
Michelle said: “Rennie Grove were brilliant when I needed their support in 2011 and we want to do what we can to raise funds so this great local charity can continue to provide that service to other people.”
