Local group use their BRAINS to donate

Rennie Grove Hospice Care has recently received an extremely generous donation in excess of £3,500 thanks to a group of Bucks residents known as BRAINS.

BRAINS – which stands for Bucks Residents against Incineration - was a group that was formed to protect sites in Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield from further waste processing.

Now that Buckinghamshire’s energy from waste facility has been sited in an alternative location there has been no activity by BRAINS for a number of years and the unused donations in the BRAINS account amounting to £3,572.74 has been donated to Rennie Grove.

Gillian Barnett, Director of Fundraising at Rennie Grove said: “I’d like to thank the members of BRAINS for donating this considerable sum of money which will make such a positive difference to local patients who have life-limiting illnesses.”
