We are calling on local residents to help support our bid to win thousands of pounds of building materials.
Thanks to national building materials supplier Jewson, Rennie Grove is in with a chance of winning £50,000 worth of building materials that we will use for a refurbishment project and it needs your help to claim the prize. Simply visit www.buildingbettercommunities.co.uk, click on the “Top Community Prize Shortlist” tab then follow the instructions to register to vote for Grove House Refurbishment.
Grove House is home to our day services in St Albans where patients and their families can access a growing number of therapies and activities all designed to help them live well with their condition from diagnosis through to end of life. Services on offer range from medical clinics, physiotherapy and exercise sessions through to scar treatment therapy, ear acupuncture and day hospice.
Grove House opened in 1994 and is now in need of upgrading. It needs replacement heating, lighting and flooring in most areas and redecoration throughout. Other work required includes rearranging rooms to create more space in which to provide therapeutic services and modification of the reception area to provide better access for wheelchair users.
Refurbishment of Grove House will make the building safer, more comfortable and fit for purpose and will enable Rennie Grove to extend its day services to more patients in the community.
Jewson is the UK’s leading supplier of sustainable timber and building materials. And with branches from the Scottish Isles to Penzance, it is proud to be part of its local communities. That’s why it is awarding thousands of pounds in building materials to good causes across Great Britain.
Voting is open until Wednesday 20 June with winners announced early July. We would like to thank you in advance for sparing a few minutes to vote for us.
