Daring Rennie Grove volunteer Sally Hain and her partner Dave are taking the plunge and participating in the Great British Skinny Dip in September, aiming to raise funds for us.
The Great British Skinny Dip has been organised to create an upbeat, health-focused, anyone-can-do-it, exciting challenge for people in the UK to discover the health benefits of clothes-free activities and to help change people's attitudes towards body image.
Sally, who has been involved with Rennie Grove from more than 20 years and who is a volunteer receptionist at the charity’s offices in Tring said, “Rennie Grove’s fundraising walks and runs don’t appeal to me but there’s something about the skinny dip that does! Perhaps it’s because it brings back childhood memories of carefree times playing with the hose in the garden on sunny days. I have a good group of friends locally and so I feel confident to ask them to sponsor me to do the dip and raise money for such an important local charity. Rennie Grove’s nurses looked after my Mum in her final weeks back in 1993 so I have a long connection with the charity and am looking forward to participating in the dip.”
