We are delighted to welcome two successful local businesses to its Corporate Patron Programme.
The Noke Hotel and the St Albans family firm of Bennetts, based in Welwyn Garden City, have both signed up to our network of local businesses that all help make a difference for local adults and children with life-limiting illnesses.
The Corporate Patron programme is an easy and effective way to sustain our 24-hour responsive hospice care for local people in their own homes with a monthly donation.
Bennetts is a family firm that supplies car parts from 24 branches. This platinum patron company’s roots date back to 1947 when founder Leonard Bennett cut his teeth on a stall at St Albans’ Saturday morning market.
John Bennett, Director at Bennetts said, “My family started our business in St Albans more than 60 years ago and, like many local people, we have been touched by the type of care that Rennie Grove provides for local people at Grove House Day Hospice and via their 24/7 Hospice at Home service.
“We are very proud that as members of the Corporate Patron Programme we are helping Rennie Grove to continue providing care to local patients.”
The Noke Hotel has long been known locally for its elegant presence in St Albans. This silver patron regularly hosts weddings and corporate events and also offers health and leisure club facilities.
Karen Harding, Sales Manager at The Noke Hotel said: “The Noke Hotel has been in the area for many years and during that time it has been well supported by local businesses and has in turn supported a number of local charities and organisations. Recently we decided to combine our efforts and focus on one local charity to support and we have decided to join Rennie Grove’s Corporate Patron Programme. We are also hoping to carry out some team building fundraising activities in addition to the corporate support we provide.”
Rosalind Lee, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Rennie Grove said, “We are delighted that The Noke and Bennetts have joined our Corporate Patron Programme. Their membership – along with another recent joiner – means that the Programme now raises enough money to fund the salary of one of our specialist Hospice at Home Nurses for a whole year. This makes such a positive different to our patients and I would like to thank Bennetts, The Noke and all our Corporate Patrons for their generosity.”
