Take on a challenge for local patients

Are you one of those people who well(s) up with emotion while watching the London Marathon on TV, silently pledging that one day you’d like to experience such an event for yourself?

Or maybe you have felt humbled by friends or relatives who have put themselves to the test in a sky dive or some other kind of challenge in order to raise funds for a cause close to their heart?

This year, it could be your turn to step out of your comfort zone and experience the joy of achieving a personal challenge. The opportunity to sky dive, mountain climb or even skinny dip to help raise funds for local hospice at home care is just a phone call or click away, thanks to Rennie Grove Hospice Care where the dedicated Fundraising Team is on hand with ideas, help and support.

You may be inspired by the efforts of others or simply wish to raise vital funds for Rennie Grove, whose nurses care for local people and their families coping with the diagnosis or cancer or other life-limiting conditions. Whatever your motivation – and whatever energy or spare time you have available – there is a sponsored event or fundraising activity waiting to welcome you.

Visit the Rennie Grove website or call the Fundraising Team now for more information about how to sign up on behalf of the charity for upcoming running events, cycle challenges, mountain treks or sponsored swims. The team can help with running tops, T-shirts, leaflets, collection boxes and buckets, sponsorship guidance, tips and advice.

If being at the sweaty end of the enterprise isn’t your idea of fun, then you can still be part of the action; you can support others with sponsorship or by attending one of the many and varied activities taking place across Herts and Bucks in aid of Rennie Grove. A brewery tour, golf day and an afternoon tea and fashion talk are coming up, with information on many more on the What’s On section at www.renniegrove.org/whats-on

“Our supporters do wonderful things to fundraise for us through all kinds of sponsored events and we are always really proud of them and extremely grateful,” said Claire Redrup, Community Fundraising Manager at Rennie Grove.

Claire added: “Whatever the event – the London Marathon, Herts 10K, Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge or a challenge of your own – your contribution is greatly valued.

“We hope that your involvement provides you with fantastic memories, knowing that you have all made a big difference to people in our community that need our care and support.”
