We're extending a warm invitation to those who have experienced the death of a loved one to join them at an event that is being held to remember and celebrate their life.
Lisa Makey, Family Support Lead at Rennie Grove said: “Our event in St Albans is based on the spiritual care values of the hospice movement and it is open to people of all faiths or no faith. It will consist of music, poems and readings and offers the opportunity for people to come together and spend some special time thinking about their loved ones and the impact they had on their life.
“We would encourage everyone who attends to bring along a photo or something else that reminds them of the person they have lost to place upon a memory table.
“Wherever you are on your bereavement journey please gather together your friends and family and come and join us at this uplifting event and reflect on the life you shared with your special someone and celebrate their life.”
Our remembering and celebrating life event is taking place in two places at 3pm on Sunday 23 June:
At Grove House, Waverley Road, St Albans AL3 5QX (adjacent to St Albans City Hospital).
At Tyler's Green Village Hall, High Wycombe, HP10 8EF.
The event includes light refreshments and all family members are welcome – including children.
This is not a ticketed event and you don’t have to have an existing connection to Rennie Grove as either a patient or family member so do feel free to simply come along on the day. If you would like to find out more beforehand then please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01442 890222.
