Without You

Our supporters and donors have an added opportunity to help the important work Rennie Grove does with local families, thanks to a scheme that can double the value of any donations made between 25 June and 9 July.

Big Give Summer Appeal

Donations made over this two-week period via the ‘Big Give’ charitable donations website will be matched - thanks to a generous Rennie Grove supporter - while funds last.

“We hope to reach our target of £14,000 during this summer’s two-week Big Give opportunity,” said Tracey Hancock, Director of Fundraising at Rennie Grove.

“This will fund 280 hours of care from a Children’s Hospice at Home nurse and 280 hours of care from an adult Hospice at Home nurse – life-changing care that just would not be possible without the continued help of our generous fundraisers,” she added.

Simply saying the words ‘thank you’ is not enough for us, where everyone wants to declare how grateful they are for the donations received from supporters and fundraisers.

And so we have put together a special video entitled ‘Without You’ where specialist nurses and others have recorded their own heartfelt messages of thanks for the financial support that enables them to continue their vital care for local people diagnosed with life-limiting conditions – and their families too.

During the summer ‘Without You’ will be emailed to supporters and showcased on the Rennie Grove website here, social media platforms and on YouTube so that each and every fundraiser knows how much they are valued and appreciated.

“The Big Give/Without You is a win-win. It enables supporters to double the impact of their donations and gives us a chance to say a big thank you for their continued and valued support,” added Tracey. “The way it works is that for each donation made via the Big Give website, Rennie Grove will receive double the amount given at no extra cost to the donor.”

Without you, my nurses and support staff wouldn’t be able to care for patients with life-limiting conditions and support them and their families whenever they need our help - day or night,” says Director of Nursing and Patient Services Sam Howard in one of the many personal ‘Without You’ thank you messages.

And Senior Hospice at Home Nurse Beth Spooner took time out to tell supporters: “Because of you I can be there for my patients to understand how they are feeling and ensure they receive the best possible nursing care and support to meet their needs.”

If you would like the chance to double the value of your donation to Rennie Grove this summer, go to www.thebiggive.org.uk from 12 noon on Tuesday 25 June and search for Rennie Grove.
