Do you have some spare time on your hands now that the children and grandchildren are back to school? Do you have skills that you would like to utilise or want to develop some new ones? Would you like to give something back to your local community whilst making new friends?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then we would love to hear from you.
Susan Lewis, Volunteering Development Advisor at Rennie Grove said, “Our amazing team of award-winning volunteers are absolutely crucial to our work and without their support, our nurses, healthcare assistants, fundraisers and support teams could not provide the services that we do. We have 85 different volunteering roles and can offer hours, locations and activities that fit in with existing commitments and interests.
“Right now we are seeking qualified counsellors and complementary therapists, receptionists and administrators, retailers, eBay listers, event supporters, street collectors and drivers. These vacancies exist in Herts and Bucks so if you would like to know more about any of these – or to see all our volunteer vacancies - then please visit renniegrove.org/volunteer or call 01442 890222/01727 731000 and speak to a member of our friendly volunteer support team.”
Joy has been a volunteer receptionist for Rennie Grove for two years. She said: “I really enjoy the role; it’s lovely to meet new people and to feel that you are helping such a wonderful local organisation. Our main role on reception is to answer the switchboard and to welcome visitors. However we get involved in many tasks such as making up hampers for raffle prizes and sending out mail shots.”
