It’s nearing the start of November and if the TV adverts are to be believed, time to start thinking about Christmas!
Our fundraising team loves Christmas and has already got its thinking antlers on to create some festive fun this year. The'd like to spread as much festive cheer as possible to people in the areas that our service covers
Claire Redrup, Community Fundraising Manager explains. “We’re looking for schools and groups to hold their very own ‘Rudolph Run’ raising funds for our charity through sponsorship of the runners. Each organisation is encouraged to set its own course and date and we will provide a resource pack including promotional posters, sponsorship envelopes and a set of antlers for each Rudolph that takes part. We can also come and give an assembly or talk to your group about the care that Rennie Grove Hospice Care provides, so that everyone knows what a difference they’re making to local adults and children receiving care from our nurses.
“Our Children’s Hospice at Home service is available day and night providing care and support to help life-limited children live the best life they can. An hour of nursing care costs £25 so if each family or individual could raise this, then organisations taking part will be helping to keep more families together at Christmas. We rely on the generosity of our local community to support events like this which is why raising sponsorship is so vital to the charity.”
If you would like to organise your own Rudolph Run then please get in touch with the community fundraising team using firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01442 890222 who will be extremely pleased to hear from you.
