‘After retiring from full time work I have greatly valued the opportunity to support local charities with very worthwhile objectives – but which nevertheless had to operate like businesses. Having been fortunate enough to have healthy children myself, I have been very emotionally involved with The Pepper Foundation which works with Rennie Grove to provide a wonderful home nursing service for seriously life-limited and terminally ill children. Rennie Grove is a very successful and professional organisation delivering a superb service to a wide range of people and I really appreciate the chance to make a contribution to its work for the community.’
