What is it?
Are you having difficulty concentrating on reading or a conversation? Is it hard to follow a route you previously knew? This three-hour workshop will give you tips and techniques to counteract this.
Who can come?
If you have been diagnosed with cancer or another life-limiting illness and have been experiencing memory problems along with your physical health condition, then this workshop might help you.
How do I get referred?
Any Health Care Professional involved in your care, including your GP, can refer you to the Memory and Physical Health Workshop. However if you are already known to Rennie Grove, you can be referred by a member of staff. Alternatively you can refer yourself by either phoning 01727 731013 or by calling into our Drop-in Session on a Tuesday morning between 9am and 1pm when our nurses will be able to advise and assess you.
What will happen when I get there?
Run in conjunction with the Herts Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust Wellbeing Team, the workshop will give you some coping strategies to help you manage memory problems in your everyday life.
When and where does the Memory and Physical Health Workshop take place?
The Memory and Physical Health Workshops are one-off sessions held at dates to be confirmed throughout the year. Each workshop will last for three hours in Grove House, located next to St Albans City Hospital.
What does it cost?
