Corporate Volunteering

We have many volunteering opportunities that you and your colleagues can take part in such as street collections, marshalling at our events and Ebay listing at our Retail and Trading head office. Our corporate volunteering activities offer great team building opportunities and help provide support for Rennie Grove.

Shop Wars

Shop Wars will give colleagues from your organisation the opportunity to spend a day volunteering in the Rennie Grove shops, competing against each other to raise the most money for the charity. They will do this in one or more of the following ways:

  • Donating items to sell in the shop;
  • Running a stall selling items such as cakes;
  • Organising a raffle or tombola to run on the day;
  • Selling Hospice Lottery tickets in the shops.
The photos above feature the teams from Natwest, St Albans who competed against each other in Shop Wars October 2018.

Corporate Challenge Day

The Corporate Challenge Day will give colleagues the opportunity to spend a fun (and competitive) day volunteering with the fundraising team.  Over the course of the day, the teams gain as many points as they can by completing as many challenges as possible.  The harder the challenge the greater the points - here a just a few tasters:

  • Are you a social media butterfly? Tweets, hashtags, Instagram and Facebook posts about Rennie Grove Hospice Care and your antics throughout the day all earn points;
  • Do you know your designer vs high street? Donations of pre loved clothing can be converted into points;
  • Giving out leaflets, putting up posters, soliciting raffle prizes and collecting donations will all add up.
