The event will be taking place at Merchant Taylors' Lake, Hertfordshire on Saturday 15 May 2021. The beautiful fresh water lake is an ideal venue for seasoned swimmers or those that have always wanted to give it a go.
The event offers 3 different challenges: an untimed 400 metre family swim perfect for adults and children; a 400 metre timed swim and a 1,500 metre timed swim for those who really want to challenge themselves.
Very few charities host their own open water swim events, with most opting to take charity places in larger events such as Swim Serpentine and the Great North Swim. This is a unique opportunity to do something different and exciting on your doorstep.
Dive into the Open Water and support Rennie Grove.
Timing chips will be provided for all participants taking part in the timed swims.
Wet suits & Googles are advised however, not compulsory.
There will be toilet facilities and changing facilities at the lake however, participants are recommended to arrive ready to swim.
There is ample parking at the site.
This event will be following Covid-19 guidelines and as such you will need to complete all sections of the registration form to ensure track and trace measures are complete.
Yes, there are 1 male and 1 female changing tent. As these facilities are limited, all swimmers are advised to arrive ready to swim - in their swim suits - and then you'll only need to change after your swim.
