Garden Group volunteers will work with patients at our Day Hospice to enable them to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening activities based around our new greenhouse. The co-operative and therapeutic nature of the activities are expected to contribute to the patients’ general wellbeing, as well as producing plants for sale in our reception area.
Patients will either choose to join the group, or will be referred by one of our clinicians as benefitting from the activities on offer. This role is about enabling patients to be as hands-on as possible, not doing it for them.
If you can help up to two hours a week on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday afternoons we'd love to hear from you.
