Our Remembrance and Thanksgiving services in June are created for all people who have experienced the death of a loved one. The services are based on the spiritual care values of the hospice movement and are open to people of all faiths or no faith. You can find your nearest service at the bottom of this page.
Some people will still be very sorrowful and desperately missing their loved ones, others will be trying to learn to navigate life without their loved one’s presence and yet others will be remembering with fondness and nostalgic smiles the person they have loved and lost.
Wherever you are in this time of grieving and bereavement, you are welcome to come along to one of our Remembrance and Thanksgiving Services. This will give you time to remember your loved one, the impact they had on you and their light and their wisdom in your life.
Each service will consist of music, poems, readings, insights and something for the kids. There will be a time to remember the person we are there for and we encourage you to bring a photo or something symbolic about your loved one to place upon a table (and of course to take home with you after the service.)
The Remembrance and Thanksgiving Services are being held on the same date and time over three different locations so that you can hopefully find one not too far from home. Each service will be followed by a light afternoon tea.
